It’s less than a month the next decade now. 2020 is about to kick off, and SA BIRTH from Tokyo has a little piece of jewellery to celebrate. The company turns 100 years old in 2020, and they have come up with a line of adorable and enticing Sanrio Hello Kitty jewellery to celebrate the occasion. The Hello Kitty brand is also celebrating its 45th birthday next year.
Pre-orders have already started from November 21, and customers can also go and buy the jewellery from SA BIRTH’s shop in Ginza. The two collaborators said the jewellery was for “mature, beautiful women, who are not bound by their age,” and “women who want to look gorgeous at all times.”
The collection has five pieces altogether, with a pendant, ring and ear cuff with the motif of Hello Kitty’s symbolic bow and a pendant with the silhouette of Hello Kitty. The jewellery is made from 20.20 carat diamond, to celebrate the year. It also poetically and exorbitantly costs 20.20 million yen.
The pendants and chain are made from the very best and most ethically sourced diamonds, and meet Japan’s high standards. The chain, base and other supporting material of the jewellery is also made from platinum, and gives it a very refined look. It will be made in very limited quantities, so we expect it to be sold by January itself.
