Those of who us who have played in arcade games when we were kids surely have dreamt of having these games in our homes. These childhood dreams just might be coming true. Arcade1Up has surprised fans with a special edition Burger Time home arcade cabinet.
For those who don’t remember, Burger Time is the game where chef Peter Pepper has to walk over hamburger ingredients located across a maze of platforms while avoiding annoying enemy characters like Mr. Hot Dog, Mr. Pickle, and Mr. Egg.
During CES this year, the retro arcade cabinet maker introduced several new cabinets, including NBA Jam, a sit-down Star Wars, special edition Burger Time, as well as a partnership with Zen Studios for 3/4 scale digital pinball machines.
The new Burger Time cabinet also includes arcade classics Karate Champ, Bad Dudes, and Caveman Ninja, and features art from Burger Time, as well as a light-up marquee, special edition riser, and “rounded side panels” to keep it “true to the original.”
It will be released in March 2020, and only 3,000 cabinets have been made. The Burger Time cabinet costs $399. Pre-orders are open for USA and Canada, but you’ll only get your home arcade after March 1.
