Aston Martin always gives a great luxury speedy vehicle their unique touch. This time, they have paired up with Brough Superior to use their engineering skills on creating the limited edition AMB 001.
It’s Aston Martin’s first ever bike. The AMB 001 features a 180-horsepower turbocharged V-twin engine housed inside a carbon-fibre body. And this bike is not for everyone: it’s only for use on tracks. Only 100 models will ever be made.
It’s got Aston Martin’s signature stirling green shade, and the main seating part have fins for a sleek finish. It also has aerodynamic wings attached to the base of the windshield.
Marek Reichman from Aston Martin said, “This is what we believe a cutting-edge motorcycle should be and we are very proud to see the Aston Martin wings on a motorcycle for the first time. In addition to applying the skills we have developed for cars such as the ground breaking Aston Martin Valkyrie, we have also been able to bring our special expertise in the traditional craft techniques to this project.”
The bike has a turbo-charged output of 134kW (180hp) at just 180kg dry weight. This turbo configuration brings an incredible engine response with huge torque in a wide range of engine rpm. It’s also the first turbo V-Twin Brough Superior model.
The bike is being assembled in France, and will be ready for rollout by 2020. It will be ready for sale at the price of $174,000 Australian dollars.
