Aston Martin released images of the very suave-looking DBS GT Zagato 2020, ahead of schedule. Only 19 models of this car will be produced, paired with the DB4 GT Zagato Continuation to complete the DBZ Centenary Collection.
Prices for the British car maker’s series start at $10.79 million. But rumour has it, these models are already sold out. Aston Martin says this car has taken the standard DBS Superleggera, and turned it into a more voluptuous curvy model.
The grille in the front consists of 108 individual diamond-shaped carbon-fibre pieces, which sit still when the vehicle is stationery. But when the car gets fired up, these pieces pull air into twin-turbo V12 engine. Marek Reichman, chief creative officer for Aston Martin said,“This is a car that is not only focused around beauty, but drama too. Our dynamic grille gives us an opportunity to provide the car with two very different identities. When parked, DBS GT Zagato will almost look like it’s resting, but with the rear of the car still appearing muscular and primed for action. Only on start-up will the car truly become alert and ready to perform, delivering both an aural and visual treat for onlookers.”
There’s also a camera-operated rear-view mirror, and no rear end windscreen. It also includes a double-bubble opaque roof, black and gold 21-inch wheels, and the 18-carat solid gold Aston Martin badges.
If you are one of the lucky ones who can afford this car – tough luck, it already seems sold out. Unless you’re one of the quick ones who bought it already.
