Aston Martin’s Continuation series is a thing of beauty. And the newest joinee to this brigade is the DB4 GT Zagato, which will debut at Le Mans in 2019. It’s also the most expensive car in Aston Martin history. Only 19 such cars will be made, so don’t expect to see them on roads. In fact, they’re not road-friendly at all, since they’re made for the tracks.
The DB4 GT Zagato has a 4.7-litre version of the straight-six cylinder petrol engine found in the DB4 GT Continuation which produces 390bhp. It uses a four-speed manual transmission and limited-slip differential to deliver power to the rear wheels. The inside is trimmed in Obsidian Black leather, which covers the pads in the carbon fibre race seats; door cards, headliner and rear environment.
This model has been made with 4500 hours of painstaking and intricate craftsmanship, at Buckinghamshire. Paul Spires from Aston Martin Works said, “Christmas may be just around the corner now, but for 19 astute car collectors it is most definitely coming early! The DB4 GT Zagato Continuation program has been our most challenging and rewarding to date, and it is a genuine honour to see the fruits of our not inconsiderable labours making their way to owners around the globe.”
If you have the little sum of £6million plus taxes lying around, you should definitely get your hands on this. There are only 19 models though, so you would need to hurry.
