Granted that the Oscars have been over since more then a fortnight now, but we think this news piece is a must read. Chinese super star Li Bing Bing had designed for herself (courtesy designer Lana J Marks) a Cleopatra Clutch. Handmade in Italy, this gorgeous piece of work is set with 40 carats of white diamonds set in white gold.
Worth half a million dollars, the accessory made Li Bing Bing one of the most expensively attired on the red carpet. Lana Marks is no stranger to designing for the stars especially for the Oscars, but with the Cleopatra Clutch, she has truly outdid herself.
“I am so thrilled to have this extraordinary friendship and collaboration with China’s number one movie superstar Li Bing Bing and to have created this haute couture silver Louisiana Alligator white and pink diamond pave Cleopatra clutch for China’s ‘First Lady’. I opened my Beijing flagship store 18 months ago, and on March 10, 2012, I open my second Beijing flagship store, and my first Shanghai flagship store. I am so excited about the incredible response by the Chinese high-net worth individuals who are purchasing my American Alligator fashion handbags in multiples,” said Lana J. Marks.
