Epiphone, an American musical instrument manufacturer, has teamed up with Jared James Nichols, the blues–rock guitarist and singer, to produce limited edition signature Les Paul model called “Old Glory.” The model has been designed to Jared James Nichols’ specifications.
Modelled after a 1955 Les Paul Custom, it features a single Seymour Duncan P-90 pickup together with master volume and tone controls. The new Epiphone Jared James Nichols ‘Old Glory’ Les Paul Custom is the premier signature model and represents Nichols dream guitar.
“I’ve been playing the prototype of “Old Glory” on stage since the day I got it,” said Nichols.
“Ever since Joe Perry loaned me a 50s Les Paul Custom with a single pickup, I knew I needed one of my own. This is an incredible guitar. I can’t put it down. I’m so honored and grateful. Thank you, Epiphone!” Says Jared James Nichols, according to their website
Beyond its vivacious Seymour Duncan P-90 single-coil pickup, this model is built to impress. Its mahogany neck features a 1950s rounded “C” profile that has a stout feel for fans of larger vintage necks and is topped with ebony for a classic look and unique feel. Grover Rotomatic tuners with 18-to-1 ratio offer remarkably precise tuning performance.
