The last Ferrari F430 was slated to roll out later this year but now it will be up for sale at RM Auction’s upcoming Leggenda e Passione event at the Ferrari factory in Maranello. Ferrari announced early this week that it will auction off the rights to the car with all proceeds going toward rebuilding the earthquake-ravaged Abruzzo region. Last month, Fiat donated a special Ducato van to Pope Benedict XVI and now, Ferrari has announced it will roll out a special, one-off F430 for the very noble cause.
The last F430 will wear a special silver and gold paint scheme which reflects the traditional colors of Aquila – the city hit hardest by the earthquake. Finished in a special two-tone livery, the F430 will come in a unique specification. This will include options from the Ferrari Carrozzeria Scaglietti range. What’s more, the lucky auction winner will also be invited to Maranello, to have the car specially made to their exact specification. The car will be delivered to the highest bidder along with a certificate signed by Ferrari Chairman, Luca di Montezemolo, with a personalized dedication plate to commemorate the generous donation.
