In April this year, Hublot unveiled spectacular watch in the 2019 Novelties Exhibition in Hong Kong – The Three Limited Edition Big Bang Scuderia Ferrari 90th Anniversary timepieces.
The Three Limited Edition Big Bang Scuderia Ferrari 90th Anniversary timepieces were created in celebration of Ferrari’s 90th anniversary. The new model is available in three exclusive versions, produced in limited editions.
The new launch is inspired by the rich history and heritage of Scuderia. All three limited editions timepieces were conceived in collaboration with the Ferrari Design Centre.Hublot Big Bang Scuderia Ferrari 90th Anniversary showcases the development of the materials used in car racing over the years. The 45 mm diameter houses the famous UNICO movement, a flyback chronograph that offers a 72-hour power reserve. The bezel is cut in ceramic carbon, which is used for Formula 1 brake discs.
The first model of the watch is inspired by the early years of Scuderia Ferrari glorious past. The visible metal parts, the peccary leather from the bucket seats and the brushed look of the dashboard are represented here by the platinum case and the stitched perforated strap. Its dial looks like old fashioned speedometers with its calendar underlined in yellow.
The second model features carbon case and its strap is made from Nomex – the fire resistant synthetic fibre used to make racing driver’s suits – on which the red and black stitching makes a striking contrast. The black and red colour scheme is inspired by colours currently used by Scuderia Ferrari for its single seater Formula 1 cars.
And the third model features transparent case made from sapphire and its straps adopts a highly futuristic Kevlar look.
Each of these three variants of the Hublot Big Bang Scuderia Ferrari 90th Anniversary watch bears one of the three colours of the Scuderia on its border, the numbers and the index. Yellow for platinum edition, red for the 3D carbon edition and black for the sapphire edition.
All three are produced in a limited edition of 90 and 10 ‘collector’ sets with all three watches will also be available.
All three watches will be available in a limited edition run of 90, with ten collector sets featuring all three watches available to a lucky few.
The watches are at $34,600 USD for 3D carbon, $40,900 USD for the platinum and $69,000 USD for the sapphire edition.
