Jewelry is an integral part of Indian culture and lifestlye, so when Indian jewelry celebrates its 5000th birthday there has to be alot of hullabaloo about it. And it couldn’t get better than this: Tata Group’s two subsidiaries are joining hands to give a gold makeover to the world’s cheapest car: Tata Nano.
Goldplus, the jewellery brand from the house of Titan Industries is creating a Goldplus Nano in collaboration with Tata Motors. This will be the country’s first ‘jewelry car’ and will be designed at the Hosur manufacturing facility.
The company has shortlisted three designs and offered people a golden opportunity to vote for their favorite.
The final design will be based on the one that garners maximum votes. The voting was to be held from between November 15 and December 12. Also voters had a chance of winning various prizes. The car will be unveiled by April-May, 2011.
