Joel Verschoot, the previous owner of Armando didn’t know exactly who was going to nab the pigeon. Because two Chinese parties were literally competing for this racing pigeon. They were increasing their bid value rapidly.
It came last minute that a purchaser from China offering more than $1.4 million. It was a “remarkable” deal that bounced from around $600,000 to $1.4 million dollars in a matter of minutes.
This really proves that these cute little feathery creatures don’t come cheap. Everyone has their own worth.
