My earlier post on Meghan Markle was on her maternity wardrobe titled: Stylish Maternity wardrobe by Meghan Markle worth whopping over half a million dollars.
The talk of the town now is the royal baby teddy bears collection launched for the to-be-born royal baby.
The due date has been kept secret, the gender of the baby secret, the name of the baby secret, the place where the baby will be delivered secret and it’s no secret that the anxiety is mounting, especially among the British tabloids whose circulation is so tied to news and gossip about the royals, particularly about Meghan and Prince Harry- due to their enormous popularity.
As the countdown for the arrival of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s baby continues, the Royal Collection shop website which sells gifts, collections and commemorative souvenirs commissioned by the Buckingham Palace, has now released a ‘Royal Baby Bear’ to mark the historic occasion.
The new limited edition, handmade cream bears, which cost £125 each, were produced especially by Shropshire-based teddy bear manufacturers Merrythought.
Produced in limited number of only 100, these 19cm tall toys – made using alpaca fleece and pure silk – are available to buy. The bear, which has a stylish satin cream bow around its neck, has an embroidered golden crown and 2019 imprinted on one of its feet.
According to the Royal Collection shop website: “Featuring a hand-embroidered nose and smile, each bear has a truly individual personality and is simply finished with a luxurious satin ribbon.”
Parents-to-be Harry and Meghan have already received a number of teddy bears for Baby Sussex on their travels – notably on their royal tour of Australia, New Zealand, Fiji and Tonga, and on a royal visit to Birkenhead in Merseyside.
China souvenirs and other royal baby memorabilia were produced following the birth of the Cambridges’ children Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis.
It is likely the Royal Collection will do the same for Harry and Meghan’s son or daughter, just as they did for the Sussexs’ wedding last year.
The couple are said to be settling into life in their new renovated home Frogmore Cottage on the Windsor Estate as they prepare for their new arrival.
