In the other corner: Steve Wynn’s attorney James Jimmerson, who handled Wayne Newton’s divorce and Mike Tyson’s bid to regain his boxing license. At issue is one of the biggest divorce settlements in the US history. Billionaire Las Vegas casino magnate Steve Wynn and wife Elaine again filed for divorce last week. According to rumors, an English lady with two teenage sons from her prior marriage is behind this split. It has been reported that Mr. Wynn is seen gallivanting around town with Andrea Hissom, a forty something divorcee.

Wynn is the charismatic chief executive of Wynn Resorts which is behind the luxurious Wynn and Encore hotels on the Las Vegas Strip. Elaine Wynn is a director on the company’s board and was recently nominated for another three year term on the board. Steve and Elaine Wynn, college sweethearts, were married in 1963. They divorced in 1986, only to remarry five years later. As a longtime member of the company’s board, Elaine Wynn, a former beauty queen, has been active in the family business and is a regular on the Las Vegas charity and social circuit. Not that we care about their personal lives but if the two split, the divorce could be one of the costliest in the U.S. Due to the economic crisis there is already a decline in tourism in Las Vegas which has affected Wynn’s company considerably. However, it is not clear how a split could potentially affect the company, which is focused on opening the $700 million Encore Macau casino in 2010, along with operating its existing resorts amid a difficult economic climate. But we shouldn’t really worry about it as we don’t understand the games these billionaires play maybe they just file a divorce and remarry the next week.
