Ever wonder what the result is when you start with “Cost is no object” when you begin designing an item? It could be an everyday item like a knife for all that matters but what you end up with is something truly exclusive such as the Platinum Mamba.
“What could we create if price was no object? Something the world has never seen before.”
Rob Bianchin, Founder & CEO of Cabot Guns.
Thus began a two year quest involving 50 artists. Each a master of their own respective craft. The list included jewelers, metallurgists, craftsmen and designers.
The resulting knife has a patented polyhedral tungsten carbide edge that is harder than any steel knife ever created.
The handle is crafted from 11.5 ounces of platinum, inset with 320 diamonds and inlaid with rare Wyoming black jade. Thus creating a serpentine design juxtaposing beauty and danger. Thus justifying the name – The Platinum Mamba.
Features of the Platinum Mamba Limited Edition Knife:
- 14.17 Karats
- 320 Diamonds
- 11.5 Ounces of Platinum
- Wyoming Black Jade
- Tungsten Carbide Blade
Thus resulted a knife that the Italians call “un sogno ad occhi aperti” — “to dream with open eyes.” The cost? A mere $150,000 USD. Register your interest in this knife here.
Wonder why its named after the Mamba? The Mamba snake is one of the few things that lives up to its legend. It’s the fastest snake on earth for starters, one that most humans would not be able to out run. Decide for yourself!
