Ok seems like all the super-models have a tough competition coming up. National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology has created the HRP-4C model robot which is scheduled to make its modeling debut at a Tokyo fashion show next week.
The robot looks nearly human except that they have gone wrong with the expressions on the face of this robot-model. She gives out a surprised look which doesn’t compliment the model image. Maybe if they could just manage to put on a blank look, they might really be on to something. But the best part is that the model doesn’t really have to worry about her body size and doesn’t even have to depend on cocaine to stay thin. By the way they really had to work very hard to give the robot legs that are small enough to look ‘feminine’. And guess what even if it weighs only 95lb the robot’s figure has been criticized as ‘just average.’ Seems like they even want the robot to look anorexic! Each HRP-4C costs about $200,000 which is quite a sum. I’d rather go for a real model but let’s wait till the robot makes its debut in Tokyo next week.
