This year at Computex Taipei HyperX, a division of Kingston Technology, showed off some great new products, and one amongst them was really, really interesting. That was crystal-infused gaming products including an amazing Swarovski-encrusted keyboard.
HyperX is the gaming division of Kingston Technology Company, Inc., the world’s largest independent memory manufacturer, with the goal of providing gamers, PC builders, PC, console and mobile power users with high-performance components.
HyperX teams up with Swarovski on some blinged-out gaming keyboards, mice, and headsets.
It’s not for the first time a company picks crystals on gadgets, but each time it happens, it happens with a different design. Some of you might remember there’s an Xbox 360 Kinect on the market which glitters in Swarovski crystals and a 24k gold and Swarovski encrusted PS4 controller.
HyperX opted to indulge in some opulence and created a blinged-out keyboard. They set the most important keys of the PC gamer’s life: the WASD as well as the number keys from 1 to 4 with Swarovski.
The W, A, S, and D keys or WASD keys on the computer keyboard are used in place of the arrow keys. They are often used because they allow the gamer to have access to more of the keys around them, which means more keys may be assigned to other tasks in the game.
If the keyboard is actually comfortable or not, we don’t really know, but the crystals might just offer the player an extra bit of grip, which is something some gamers might enjoy.
Coloured crystals that make up a rainbow theme have been placed on the top side bar of the keyboard too, to further aid the aesthetic.
HyperX has also added a matching headset and a mouse to accompany the keyboard. The crystals on them gives a shimmering look which am sure will be appreciated by the gamers.
Though the price details as well as the point of purchase haven’t been shared by the company. The best you can do is keep checking their website for details www.hyperxgaming.com
