Bugatti, the French car maker grabbed the headlines this year in March 2019 with the launch of La Voiture Noire. Priced at whopping $18 million, it is one-off and the most expensive car ever made.
If reports are to be believed, Cristiano Ronaldo has laid his hands on the one-off Bugatti La Voiture Noire – reportedly the most expensive car ever built. However, Bugatti refused to officially confirm the owner, as it did before too. It was earlier brought to the attention that before even the car’s debut, it was bought by former VW Group chairman Ferdinand Piech. Bugatti however prefers to keep owners records secret.
One thing which makes Bugatti La Voiture Noire class apart is that it is exclusively designed for the owner and is the only one of its kind in the world.
If the news of the new proud owner is true, then soccer star will have to wait for almost two and a half years to get the functional supercar ready to hit the road.
Ronaldo has an array of luxury cars which include a Mercedes C Class Sport Coupe, a Rolls-Royce Phantom, a Ujn Ferrari 599 GTO, a Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4, an Aston Martin DB9, a McLaren MP4 12C and a Bentley Continental GTC Speed. With plethora of super cars, am sure the urge to have the hyper-car led him to choose Bugatti’s La Voiture.
Bugatti La Voiture was built to celebrate 110th anniversary and the company announced that they would be making only one of these which has already been sold. This makes it as rare as they get, nothing short of a piece of an art.
“Bugatti arouses passion and emotions throughout the world. Customers expect us to continually surprise them and to raise the goalposts beyond the limits of their imagination. We have just succeeded in doing so with ‘La Voiture Noire‘,” said Stephan Winkelmann. “With our automotive haute couture, we have shown what Bugatti is capable of.”
