The Bellas Artes Maduro line from A.J. Fernandez is getting a Lancero early next month.
The Lancero measures 7 inches by 40 ring gauge and ships in 10-count boxes. Only 2,000 boxes will be released.
Each box-pressed Lancero has a suggested retail price of $10 each.
The blend has not changed. The new smoke is wrapped in a dark Brazilian Mata Fina cover leaf. Underneath, a Mexican San Andrés binder holds together a filler blend of Nicaraguan tobacco grown on Abdel Fernandez’s farms.
It’s made at the Tabacalera A.J. Fernandez Cigars de Nicaragua factory in Estelí.
The Bellas Artes Maduro Robusto scored 90 points in blind tasting.
There are only a handful of names in today’s market that are as synonymous with quality as A.J. Fernandez. A third-generation cigar maker and Cuban native, A.J. has quickly risen to the top ranks of the cigar industry by providing hit after hit of highly-rated blends. And now, Bellas Artes Maduro finds itself in the master’s portfolio.
Bellas Artes Maduro is yet another beautiful masterpiece added to the AJ Fernandez collection. This cigar was first introduced at the 2018 IPCPR show in Las Vegas and quickly hit the shelves soon after due to popular demand. This was the first release where AJ used the popular Mata Fina wrapper.
The line is said to be inspired by Abdel Fernández’s visits to Cuba’s National Art museum in Havana, the Museo National de Bellas Artes de la Habana.
Bellas Artes Maduro cigar is known for a nice balance of openness and resistance. It produces a bountiful of smoke even on slower burning.
According to the company, the Lanceros will start shipping to retailers from beginning next month.
