What is the best way to promote a product? Create something truly unique? Maybe make it a limited edition? How about creating it out of some unique stuff? Associate it with something that’s already loved? Well, Tamdhu Distillery saw the light and decided to do it all.
To promote their new Cigar Malt Whiskey, they made two specially crafted cigar humidors. Each made from the wood of the sherry oak casks that were used to age the whiskey.
The Whiskey.
The folks at the Tamdhu Distillery picked European oak Oloroso sherry casks to age the whisky. They did this as these casks can impart a rich and aromatic spicy flavor to the whiskey, reminiscent of premium cigars. So much so that the whiskey almost imitates the sensation that aged tobacco leaves give. Tamdhu wanted to create the best pairing for a cigar, and for this, they left no stone unturned.
The Humidor.
The ingredients used to craft this bespoke humidor were Walnut wood, sterling silver, and European oak sherry cask staves. The distillery collaborated with Anthony Holt & Sons to make it. This unique construction has the effect of infusing the aroma of the sherry casks in the cigars to create perfect harmony.

Out of the two boxes, one will be put up for auction in 2022 to raise money for charity. As for the other one, its fate is unknown.
How to get the Whiskey?
The Tamdhu Cigar Malt whiskey can be bought from specialist liquor outlets in the Netherlands, UK, USA, Taiwan, China, and Germany. Each bottle will cost 180.00 GBP.
