The news is that the Vmoto and Ducati have set the stage on fire by announcing their collaboration to manufacture 2-wheel electric vehicles called the “CUX special Ducati edition”.
Vmoto Limited is a global scooter manufacturing and distribution group. The Company specialises in high quality electric powered two-wheel vehicles and manufactures a range of western designed electric scooters from its wholly owned state of the art manufacturing facility in Nanjing, China.
And Ducati Motor Holding is the motorcycle-manufacturing division of Italian company Ducati, headquartered in Bologna, Italy. The company is owned by German automotive manufacturer Audi through its Italian subsidiary Lamborghini, which is in turn owned by the Volkswagen Group.
The two big names have decided to team up on the launch of special edition 2-wheel electric scooter. According to the agreement between the two houses, it’s been decided that Vmoto will manufacture and distribute the CUX models under Ducati label.
This special Ducati model will be positioned as a high end luxury product available to the consumers at a premium price.
Vmoto’s managin director Charles Chen said: “This is an exciting agreement for Vmoto and we are thrilled that Ducati – renowned for being a top-end manufacturer of Italian motorcycles – has agreed to associate its premium reputation and brand with our electric vehicles.
“The deal will allow Ducati’s fans to have the opportunity to access premium and high quality 2-wheel electric vehicles supplied by Vmoto and create more confidence to Vmoto’s expanding distributors especially in Europe and further grow Vmoto’s product awareness in these markets.
“The release of these premium, limited-edition 2-wheel electric vehicles will command higher pricing and profit margins and are expected to contribute to sales growth over the next two financial years.”
Expected to be market ready with “CUX Ducati special edition” by 31st March, 2020, this venture is sure to give huge returns. Vmoto hopes that Ducati branding will help lift its brand globally. It also aims at combining low cost Chinese manufacturing capabilities with European design.
All the onlookers out there! Wait is the key word. As few things are worth the wait, and I’d say this about CUX special Ducati models.
