What happens when luxury meets style? Vertu Ascent Ferrari GT. The British cell phone manufacturer Vertu has once again partnered with Ferrari to create their latest elegant piece together.
Inspired from the famous Italian car manufacturer, the exquisite handset is built from forged titanium with a matte black PVD finish. “Right from the beginning, the Vertu Ascent was inspired by cars. I wanted Ascent to be influenced by power, by energy, by the precision of a beautiful engine,” said Frank Nuovo, Vertu Principal Designer.
It is lined with red and black hand-sewn leather similar to the interiors of a Ferrari. The battery cover is constructed out of ceramic. The phone’s form factor represents the Ferrari’s iconic engine block.
It bundles up several attributes including Chronograph stopwatch, Bluetooth, micro USB port, A-GPS and POP3/IMAP 4 email client. The handset comes with a rather small 2-inch QVGA display with 16 million colors, which is protected by sapphire crystal glass. It boasts a 5-megapixel camera with integrated LED flash and video recording capabilities, as well as high-performance dual hands-free loudspeaker.
No news about the price as yet but Vertu has planned on bringing out only 2011 pieces of this amazing cell phone.
