For those of you who have better things to do then keep tabs on the who’s who of the rich list, Kirsty Bertarelli is the richest woman in the UK. Just take our word for it. The former Miss UK purchased a yacht and in befitting style for the richest woman in the UK it costs a whopping 100 million pounds with unheard of luxuries.
Kirsty made her money the old fashioned way. She married into it. Married to Ernesto Bertarelli (a Swiss Billionaire) she shares her passion for boats with her husband. To be fair to Kirsty, she isnt all beauty and no brains. After meeting her future husband she co-wrote ‘Black Coffee’ a super hit song that was recorded by the All Saints Band and went on to become a worldwide hit.
So suffice it to say, the Vava II is a yacht that she well deserves. The 314 foot long yacht costs a quarter million pounds just to refill. It is one of the largest private motor yachts built in the UK till date. The Vava II replaces the Vava I which was smaller at 154 feet. Built in secret at the Devonport Yachts, the worlds 81st richest man and his wife will now be able to enjoy a yacht that boasts of a fold-out beach. This is the first time that we are learning about a yacht with an on board ‘beach’. The on board pool can be re-oriented to the depth desired by the guests. The yacht also holds four boats on board to ferry passengers to the exotic islands that they will be travelling to.
The Vava II was codenamed Project 55 while being built. The exterior of the boat has been designed by Hampshire-based specialists Redman Whiteley Dixon while the interiors were styled by Remi Tessier.
