Yup, that’s right, you can’t buy it anymore as it is already sold out. Well, at least not from the source anyway. I am sure you can find someone on eBay selling it for a nice markup. But why should you even consider buying it in the first place? And, what is so special about this bike?
Let’s start from the beginning.
Earlier this week, SUPER73, an American company specializing in electric motorbikes, announced that they would partner with Hot Wheels to release an extremely limited edition product – The Hot Wheels x SUPER73-RX.
What’s so special about this bike?
The company’s existing flagship SUPER73-RX forms the basis for this limited edition product. It is a great thing as this model comes with some excellent specs. The list includes:
- A 960 watt-hours battery.
- A powerful four-piston aluminum front brake caliper.
- An inverted and adjustable coil-spring fork with air assist.
- An adjustable rear mono-shock.
This model also comes with an aluminum-alloy frame and the ability to control the bike’s functions via a smartphone app. The rider can choose from 4 different riding modes in the app, which offer varying degrees of enjoyment.
For the limited edition, the company has gone all out on the color scheme. When combined with the orange and blue graphics, the iconic Hot Wheels logo will surely attract a ton of attention. The limited-edition bike also features a custom embroidered seat. The handlebar pad was also specially created by Saddlemen for this edition.
In addition, the Hot Wheels edition will also include Ruffian ATV Lock-on grips by ODI and Stamp 1 Large pedal from Crankbrothers. A stainless steel panel between the frame rails, black battery pads, a black chain, yellow-tinted headlights, and unique SUPER73 BDGR tires with brass rims complete this package.
As a bonus, every purchase of this bike will also come with a collectible Hot Wheels diecast of a SUPER73 Ford Bronco adventure vehicle. The graphics of the Bronco match the ones of the limited edition RX. This diecast will also be available for buying at select Hot Wheels outlets if you don’t wish to buy the actual bike.
Pricing and Availability:
SUPER73 launched this limited edition model at a palatable price of $5,000. However, they played us by only launching 24 units of this beauty. All of which were sold out within hours of the product going live. So, I would say, keep refreshing eBay, and you will eventually find one of these on sale there. Good luck!
